Discipled over being "saved!"

Is it better to be saved or to be discipled? What is the difference? Is it a matter of perspective- one person sees it as more important to disciple people and another sees it as more important to save them? Is there a difference between the two subjects, or do we, as systematic people, divide the two topics? This perspective theory is displayed all throughout history: to Martin Luther God was Just, Holy, and Wrath and a Charismatic Christian would tell you that God is Love, Mercy, and Grace. Some people might tell you that it is about both being saved and being discipled, while a close friend might say that being saved is more important. So then what is truly more important, the now or eternity? Could there be a way to see the now and eternally? It's like this picture, when you look at the picture it looks really beautiful and inspirational, but when I was there taking the picture, the location smelled so awful (like sewage). So remember, that it could be all about your perspective and mindset!
