Lean not on your own understanding! ~ PART 1

Have you had your close encounter with Christ yet? Have you taken your hike? What has God told you during your silent time? Did God talk to you about free will during your silent time? What is the next step? This is what I saw when I went on my hike (the picture)! How organic is your relationship with God? Does God have enough room to change your understanding? After all, the Bible says "lean not on your own understanding" (Proverbs 3:5). So in what way are you leaning on your own understanding? How could your understanding change (if you let God have room to work)? Isn't it like a relationship with a child; they don't know what they NEED, but the parents know what they need? Or like this creek, God allows things to happen (rain, snow) so that this creek can flow, but if the creek leaned on its own understanding, it may panic. Do you panic when you lean on your understanding of things? Step outside the box, like God, and look outside the box! The creek gets water from other water sources and continues to flow. Likewise, we get help from the Church to move forward in the Lord. If you give your life to be a disciple of Jesus, does that take away your free will? Our understanding might say no, but God's Word says not to lean on that, so could God change our understanding as we follow Him?
How can you lean more on God's understanding?
