Scripture says, "Lean not on your own understanding" (Proverbs 3:5). It's like these photos; there is a good area of green grass surrounded by the forest. Can there be good that is surrounded by all the bad in this world? Can a person be a part of this world and still be separate? What is your understanding of the culture of this world? Again, can the Church be a part of it, but be separate at the same time? As I look at the trees in these photos, my eyes are immediately drawn to the green of the pine trees. Does that mean something? Could the pine trees represent something? Is God trying to tell us something through these photos of nature? Can we learn something through these pictures; could this be our close encounter with Christ?

If you noticed, the pictures are the same shot, but the second one is a close up. I did this so that we could see the detail in the land that is around the farmhouse. I hope that you take some time to look at these photos and seek the Lord about my questions. How does this relate to our free will discussion? As my eyes are immediately drawn to the green pine trees; could our eyes immediately be drawn to certain things that are based on our own understanding? What would it take for us to get outside the box and see things according to God's understanding? Take some time today to spend some alone time with God, and ask Him to change your understanding to His understanding!
What is your understanding DRAWN to in this world?
