Can we change our view of doubt?

Is doubt okay? Where does doubt come from? Is it from the devil or is it from our own human nature? Could we still be people of God and have doubt? I just wrote a paper entitled "Elijah: A Man of God." It might surprise you, but Elijah doubted God, yet he was titled a man of God. How could this be? Aren't people of God supposed to be faithful and without doubt? Could doubt be a part of our growing process? Jake once told me that walking with God is like walking down the street; first you are out of balance stepping on your right foot, then your weight is balanced, and then you are get out of balance as you step on your left foot. Could this be the same process with our doubt?! As we walk with God we encounter Him in many ways, then we have a trial that causes us to doubt, but ultimately we must listen to that small still voice that tells us to move forward with the things of God. It is like this photo; you may doubt this, but I took this picture while my wife was driving the car 75 mph. To me this picture looks like I was standing still on a special view point. NO, I took this picture while sitting in the passenger seat of the car. So, could our view of doubt be something that the Church changes, does doubt have to be such a bad thing?
What do you doubt?
