Why?

As I look out at the fearless ocean, I think, why does the Church use fear to get converts? Doesn't the world use fear to make people buy and sell stuff? Why does the Church use the same tactics as the world? Did Jesus use fear? Didn't He come in peace, to bless His people?
I just watched the Nooma Luggage. I was totally with him, however, I don't know if I believe in his tactics. It seems that the Church at large uses fear. Aren't these people going to see God and be able to be before Him? Is this just a way for us to know that we know that people will be with God? It seems so sad that we need profess trusting in Christ, yet we put fear into people (some of which will not spend their life with Christ; they will simple say that they are saved and live their normal sinful life). Is that the type of people Christ is looking for? Isn't He looking for people who will follow Him? Isn't there a better way to make people follow Christ? Isn't there much more to Christ? May you believe that Christ will follow His Words and keep those whom the Father puts into His hands. May you believe that God's Will be done. And may you trust in the living God who will keep you eternally.
